New LinkedIn Analytics Provide a Reality Check
If you haven’t noticed, LinkedIn has new analytics for your posts. My favorite part about the feature is the dashboard that highlights the top job title, location, and industry per post.
That’s right, we’re moving past emoji reactions and getting great information about who we reach on LinkedIn. Here are a couple things to watch for in these analytics:
• Top job title: This is a good reality check to see which types of people you reach. I predict you will learn a couple things. First, you’ll probably see you are reaching influencers, not buyers. Second, you’ll likely see many of your buyers are not fully engaged on this platform.
• Top industry: This is a great analytic to measure your market penetration. If you see your industry pop up here, it means your colleagues – not buyers – are your biggest audience. That isn’t always a bad thing, but it isn’t great for lead generation.
