2 Lessons I Learned from a Recent Marketing Promotion
Many thanks for those who participated in my Fourth of July giveaway. It makes my heart sing to help you get your brilliance out there.
I also learn so much from the experience. Two big aha’s:
- Most of the orders came after the heads-up email that the promotion ends in 48 hours. Folks like to be reminded of deadlines.
- Folks are basically honest and respectful of the rules. Of almost 100 orders, only three people (including a communications expert focused on conflict reduction) took advantage of the offer by using fake names and/or different emails to get more than one product. (The record holder was a music teacher turned wellness coach who used three different names and emails. Dang.) Amazing what people will do to scam a free offer.
