Why We Work

Here in the U.S., we’ve said goodbye to summer with a three-day weekend celebrating work. And that makes me think about why we spend so much time and energy away from our family and friends.

Yes, we need to pay the bills. But let’s go one step further. Work is about the impact of our contribution. When we use our gifts to make our spot in the world a better place, we get paid much more than money. We get paid in fulfillment, passion and inspiration. We get a life well lived.
