2 Ways to Stand Out Among Your Competitors
We’ve all been there: in a social media group or at networking event where folks who do similar work are out in full force. How do you stand out in the midst of competitors and colleagues?
Two ideas:
1. Stake out your territory. Create an either/or concept here. Are you great in certain situations? Work with a particular mindset? Focus on that.
Listen: What to do when someone gets in your lane
2. Stake out your role. What role do you play in the conversation? Your approach can make a difference here.
When you know XXX, have two or three key points that will separate you from the herd. Every conversation, every story, goes back to those three points.
In popular spaces such as corporate culture, communications, etc., there are a lot of voices. And that’s OK when you can stand out.
