Big Disruptions Ahead for HR
Like many industries, big tech is flooding HR (Human Resources) departments with new solutions. And you better believe that these disruptions will impact any training and development company. This brief from Josh Bersin of Bersin by Deloitte gives a great heads up we all need.
The findings we care about most:
- Learning systems are becoming self service. Therefore, ease of use is taking center stage. The standard is moving from “logging into HR system” to being part of the daily work routine.
- Learning delivery is about to be disrupted. While courses will be offered, new delivery systems are more on-the-spot based on current work dynamics. Thought leaders who have moduled systems and games will have the inside track here.
- Gamification is going social. The train has left the station; now that we are using more games as training, the focus is on making them more fun and engaging via social activity. The goal has expanded to “finding people” and increasing our network.
Bottom line: contract training fees will go down to subsidize systems learning. Lots of opportunities there for thought leaders who package their brilliance for the digital age.
