Content: Out with the Old, In with the New
Now that I’m back from an amazing Vegas Christmas, it’s time to clear out the old to make room for the new. This can apply to a lot of things, but in this instance, I’m referring to content I have created.
This mindset is very different than what it was years ago. I used to keep everything I wrote or produced. Why? Well, I might use the content in a different format someday. And after all, it’s my body of work.
What I realize now: The “body of work” story that I told myself rationalized my sentimental pack ratting. Not only has the market changed over the years, but so has my perspective. Now, I focus on current ideas and strategies. I don’t try to fit my past into my future.

A lot of us are content machines, continually creating, recording, and sharing new content. Remember you’ll always have new things to say that are just as innovative as what you’ve said in the past. So, it’s important to let go of what you have so you can create space for what you create next.
