From Gratitude to Grace
Today is Thanksgiving here in the U.S., when everyone gathers at the table and remembers how fortunate they are. Between my and my husband’s big 25th wedding anniversary trip and gearing up for a lot of travel next month, the geek-in-chief and I are up for a quiet Thanksgiving dinner here in the Phoenix area. We’ll go to our favorite restaurant and have the traditional dinner. (Yep, pumpkin pie will be the star.)
Sure, we’ll reminisce about how fortunate we are. But now I’m gonna go a step further in 2020: How do I express gratitude in my day-to-day interactions? How do I maintain a grateful spirit in the midst of robust (and strange) conversations? My answer: by extending my hand with grace.
Next year will be filled with opportunities for grace. Let’s take those situations and put our gratitude to work.
