Getting Your Website to Work
Maybe it’s because I was in the throes of redesigning my site, but I found myself in conversation with many thought leaders doing the same thing. The question that keeps coming up: how can I have a great website that can also be found?
This article has some good ideas about how to have a beautifully strategic site that still satisfies the SEO powers that be. My favorite suggestion: get rid of the splash pages. (I never liked those dang things in the first place.)
It’s a chicken or the egg question, isn’t it? Do you have a killer site that is invisible, or do you have a silly site that everyone can find (but wish they didn’t)? Time will tell for my site. Check out this article for a great explanation of why we need both and what to do about it.
