Great News for Podcasters
Thinking about using podcasts to extend brand awareness? Great news! YouTube now supports podcasters, and it’s a game-changer.
YouTube was already a search engine for videos, so applying that same system for podcasts isn’t a stretch for them. While there’s still some big unanswered questions (such as what constitutes a podcast), YouTube provides two things we really need: better monetization with ads sold by Google,and updated analytics that’s usually supplied by third parties.

Result: Watch for other well-known folks to monetize their popularity with podcasts. As for us thought leaders, YouTube’s entry will change our expectations. We still need to find our audience, but these tools will definitely help us and all podcasters.
