Just in from the “How AI will dominate everything” department: AI-powered signal-based selling is transforming how businesses capture and evaluate buying signals, leading to more precise and data-driven sales strategies.” Cool, yet scary at the same time.

A recent MarketingProfs article outlines the potential of this strategy for event organizers. Of course, this will spread quickly beyond marketing events. For now, the big question is: How does this impact speaker selection?

Here are two ways I predict this trend will affect events and your ability to get speaking opportunities:

• Invitation-only events will soar. With AI-powered signal-based selling, businesses can identify high-end clients early and strategically invite them to exclusive standalone events or adjacent activities within larger industry conferences. Prediction: These folks will be asked for speaker recommendations. If you can ensure you are top of their mind, you will get a foot in the door.

• Data will continue to drive content. Using AI, host organizations can analyze which content converts specific buying signals and optimize event agendas to feature more of that high-impact material. Expect to see more discussions up front about the impact of your perspective.

Buying signals were once perceptions made by top sales professionals. With the introduction of AI, everything changes. As AI-powered signal-based selling continues to evolve, its impact on B2B event marketing and content strategy will be impossible to ignore. The time to adapt is now.
