Latest Sponsorship Trends
Because our speaking/appearance fees are usually paid for by sponsors, it’s important to know what is going on in this space. To the rescue is industry giant IEG with the 2013 Sponsorship Decision Makers Survey findings. Most interesting stats:
- Decision makers are moving out of the house. Over 60% use advertising or PR agencies to support these partnerships. Translation: these agencies are our buyers or at least the first round of consideration. Proceed accordingly.
- A vast majority (75%) are considering new sponsorships this year.
- Increasing brand loyalty and creating awareness are the top goals of sponsors.
