Let’s Be a Hero Today
Today is a sad anniversary for U.S. citizens. On this day 17 years ago, the World Trade Center was attacked, and more than 3,000 people lost their lives.
I was at home in the desert, thousands of miles away when it happened. I could afford the luxury of being in shock. While I sat in stunned silence glued to the television, others closer to the disaster went into action. Near and far, we as a nation were together, united in our grief and in their courage.
I can’t think of a better way to honor the departed than by following their example. For just one day, let’s be kind to one another. Let’s pitch in and help those who need a little extra assistance. You never know what the next moment brings.
