Make Luck Happen: Seek New Opportunities
When the pandemic hit last March, many of us went into maintenance mode. We took care of current clients, our current obligations—all while on the hunt for supplies such as toilet paper. At the time, it felt like that was enough.
Almost a year later, and some people still have that mindset. Yes, it’s been a roller-coaster ride, but for many, that has become an excuse to only look for opportunities based on the short term. A better reaction to events these days should be: “Whoa, that just happened. How do I adjust and figure out how to set the stage for the future?”
Some of the most fortunate things can happen during times of upheaval. As alert reader Rebecca Morgan points out in her blog post about making our own luck, don’t wait until the time is right.

One aspect of finding opportunities is being at the right place at the right time. As the pandemic has taught us, we can “Zoom” in to places without getting on a plane. It’s time to get out of maintenance mode and get out there. Luck is waiting for us to show up.
