Marketing Video Trends for 2021
By now, we all know that video is a popular tool in the B2B content marketing playground. Now we have data from Vidyard that prove our instincts.
Move past the obvious promotion in the report—that Vidyard is a video-hosting platform—and look at the data. You can use it to beef up your own efforts.
Pay particular attention to these trends:
• The rise of user-generated video. The good news: Slick, pro-level productions are not required. User-generated video works just as well and can be used in sales conversations, as well as in content marketing. So, ask yourself: What will my market accept? Can you use user-generated success stories? Brainstorm with your team.
• The video distribution system. No surprise that the popular channels for posting video are social media, websites, and YouTube. (And by websites, I don’t think they are referring to the kind like yours and mine.) So, keep in mind that videos must compete in a constant parade of other videos. High production values alone won’t cut it. The content must stand out.
