Secret Training Trend From Wall Street
In our space, “boot camps” are those pitch-based events promoted to change your life or make you rich. On Wall Street, the intensity might be the same but that’s where the similarities end. In this arena, new college grads learn the practical skills crucial for the day-to-day tasks behind the deals.
- Go past the industry and look at the trend: the outsourcing of technical training. If paying outside sources a daily fee is cheaper than in-house efforts, you better believe this trend will spread fast to other industries.
- Check out the stakes. According to this article “millions of dollars can be won or lost on one calculation…”. That’s the driving motivation behind the skill building.
For thought leaders in this industry, the boot camp format could be a natural extension of your work. For those outside Wall Street, ask yourself: What happens if folks don’t have what I am offering? And is that loss enough to justify my fees?
