• HR has a public relations problem. In 2024, 86% of employees were apprehensive about approaching HR staff with an issue. Their concerns included confidentiality breaches, retaliation, and the perceived involvement in office politics. There are significant trust issues at play, reflecting a generally suspicious workforce.

• Employee burnout is now an epidemic. Another critical workplace culture challenge in 2025 is employee burnout, which has reached epidemic levels. What used to be situational stress is now constant, with 88% of respondents saying their burnout has impacted their professional and personal lives. The impact is severe, with 25% reporting that they sought mental health help to manage their alarming level of work-related stress. This is not sustainable, and the C-suite knows it.
