TED Talks About Speaking
Since my adventures in TED, many folks have asked me the inside scoop about speaking on those platforms. Like most coveted spots, the decision makers there are deluged with offers.
TED’s Curator in Chief Chris Anderson gives hints about what he (and other high-end decision-makers) look for in this presentation skills article from the Harvard Business Review.
My favorite tip from him: consider what the audience (and the buyer) already knows about your subject and how much they care about it. How many of us assume that the buyer cares more than they really do? And how can we convince them to care more?
Check out his thoughts here and go one step further. Take his advice and use it in your next proposal.
