Thankful for Grace

As I look back on this year, I think of how many times I’ve been saved by dumb luck.

Case in point: We drove from the back roads of Colorado to Oklahoma City with a nail in the car tire—and without incident. Then we got said tire fixed in two hours—for free. Nothing I did influenced the outcome. Good luck just smiled upon me.

So, that’s what I’m thankful for this year.

I’m thankful for all the times when I didn’t deserve a break but got one anyway. I think that’s how grace works.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. May we celebrate all the times we give and receive grace in our lives.
