Two Things To Do Different for 2015 B2B Marketing

Yes, technology is changing how we B2B businesses are marketing. But what are the leaders doing? This short top-ten article gives us a good heads-up.

Pay big attention to these two things:

  1. 93% of B2B marketers are using content marketing in 2014 according to Content Marketing Institute. That means thought leaders are no longer alone in putting out big ideas.  My prediction: quantity does not equal quality. Look for more stylized design and simple ideas. Practical, usable ideas will rule the influence game. Time to go an inch wide and a mile deep.
  2. Pay for access is coming on strong in social media. Called “amplification,” 20 percent of companies increased investments to access targeted demographics. The days of just putting stuff out there is gone. Time to pay to play.

 

Bottom line: cope and adjust. These two changes are easier said than done. Start experimenting and watch what happens next.
