Want People to Read Your Report? Use an Infographic
An infographic published on MarketingProfs caught my eye the other day. While the graphic itself is interesting, what really intrigued me was how the infographic was used.
The company created and distributed the infographic to promote an in-depth report. Brilliant! This tactic works because it:
• Makes the findings consumable and sharable. Readers’ attention span continues to go down. An infographic presents the most titillating findings first.
• Paves the way for more engagement. If readers want to dive in, there’s an option to do that. The full report is easily assessable. And by allowing folks to self-select, the company that created the report gets more qualified leads from the report’s link.

Most people know the power of infographics. What they don’t often realize is how to use them in multiple ways. This one-two punch of using the infographic as a headline and the report for the deep dive is a great idea. And it’s worth considering as you adjust your content marketing strategy.
