Videos Are Moving to Social Media
By now we all know that video marketing has skyrocketing. According to this Social Media Examiner article, the reason why that’s happening surprised me: It’s because traffic from our more popular tactics – webinars, ebooks, and other posts – are declining. Fair enough.
The problem with using video, though, is that too many of us have become one-hit wonders. We have perfected the art of the explainer video. But the more sophisticated marketers have moved on. Sure, they still use this format; it’s just now a cog in a bigger wheel.
That’s why my favorite part of the Social Media Examiner article is how it outlines other ways B2B folks like us can use video. My favs: short hacks (#4) and the humorous side (#5).

The upshot: Videos are moving to social media. It’s time to up our game and go beyond the standard education videos. Don’t rush; just stop and think about how you can demonstrate what you know. Remember, it’s the experience now.
