What Freedom Guarantees
In the United States, we are about to kick off a long weekend to celebrate our Nation’s independence from Britain. Cookouts, fireworks, and probably some adult beverages will be involved.
Line up five people and you will get fifteen definitions of independence. I’ll go first: independence means freedom to pursue happiness. Not a guarantee that you will be happy. Not a guarantee that everything you do will be successful. Just the opportunity to chase your dreams.
So as we enjoy the patriotic music and fireworks display, let’s celebrate not only our history but also our future. As long as we have the freedom to direct our lives, the opportunities are endless. The freedom to choose is our birthright.
Have a great holiday everyone. And for those who are not in the U.S., may you celebrate the opportunities you have wherever you are.
P.S. — speaking of holidays, yes, I am still celebrating my birthday. Click here to read about my gift to you.

Freedom "guarantees" just two things. 1. ONE vote 2. The freedom to work as hard as you want. Have fun this weekend...
