When You Love Your Clients: 2 Big Benefits
Today, we celebrate all things about love. And for me, that includes love for those we serve: our clients.
Two big things happen when you have close relationships with your clients:
• Grace is the default position. Giving more feels like no big deal. Misunderstandings are minor things that are settled quickly. There’s nothing that can’t be solved with a conversation. Even strong disagreements don’t kill the relationship.
• Transitions are seamless. Whether it’s creating new opportunities, referring others, or even ending a project, your relationship with the client remains. That means you have allies you can count on when the chips are down.

If you run a smaller business, you have more agency than folks who have a big staff and overhead. You can choose your clients; you can say no for the most subjective of reasons. And I learned a long time ago that if I like the people involved, my work takes on a whole different level of joy.
